Teamwork is the key for success at Luse Horses Training Facility. Van Luse and Cathy Woosley-Luse take teamwork up a notch by creating properly trained performance horses and aritculating their methods to their non pro clients to keep the trophies coming to their barn.
As with every team, Van and Cathy excel not only by working together, but by bringing their own talents into the mix. Van's specialty is futurity horses, having won the Congress Limited Open Futurity, was the Congress Intermediate Open Futurity Champion and came in 3 rd in the Open Futurity Finals in 2003, he's proven he gets the job done right. Cathy works primarily with the derby and older show horses, bringing in her own impressive pile of trophies. Working together and critiquing each other, Van and Cathy excel at meeting any new goal.At Luse Horses you get a team. Cathy and Van see things from every perspective, horsemanship and horse maneuvers nothing gets missed. Working together the customer gets a complete understandable picture, where no question is unanswered. Their method of coaching has brought many riders to NRHA Top Ten placings in Non Pro and Youth Divisions.
Van and Cathy know that you can never stop learning. By watching, listening and asking questions they've become the team to beat.
Van Luse & Smoky D Wolf   Van turned pro in 1992 and has been perfecting his talents on getting a horse broke properly. In 2003, with over $125,000 in money earned, according to Equistat, he was the 5th highest money earning open rider for NRHA.

Cathy's name is familiar to lots of reiners on her own merits and being the daughter of NRHA Hall of Famer, Clayton Woosley. As a youngster, Cathy rode in a range of AQHA divisions. By 13, she was showing in Hunter Hack, Hunter Under Saddle, Trail, Western Pleasure and more. At 16, she was AQHA High Point Youth Reiner, a feat she repeated at 18. After graduating from Midway College with a BA in Equine Management, Cathy came home and took over her father's business. The opportunity of riding a really talented horse opened doors into NRHA reining. To give back to the reining community, Cathy has been a NRHA judge since 1995.   Cathy Luse and Whizcription
